Updating and replacing the tremendously successful Shakespeare Agility Fly Rod range was never going to be easy! However Shakespeare's rod engineers have exceeded expectations yet again with the exceptional new Shakespeare Agility 2 Fly Rods. Significantly improved with increased blank performance, upgraded fittings and stunning new cosmetics, these rods utilise a higher grade 36/40 ton carbon, which produces a blank that is both slimmer and lighter with refined actions that reflect the modern trend for faster actions.
The lighter #3-5 rods feature a half wells handle. The #6-7 rods feature a full wells handle, and are supplied with an interchangeable fighting butt and extension handle, allowing you to use the rod as a standard single hander or as a Switch rod, which is great for both overhead and Spey casting styles.
The two XPS (Extra Power Series) rods have been designed to handle pike and saltwater predators both home and abroad. The #10 rod features an extra fighting grip above the handle for added support. The saltwater rods are not supplied with interchangeable butts/extension handles.
